I have a 2004 Porsche 9114S and bought a new battery from service in 2009. I live in the east coast so do not use the car that much, especially during winter since I have another vehicle. I start it regularly and let it run. I must have let it go a little too long since I have been very busy with work, and it would not turn over, just click. The service adviser said he can't replace it since I don't drive it enough, according to the miles, and I didn't buy a battery maintainer. What about the elderly who go out every few weeks or so and only go down the street to the store? Has he heard of a defective battery? Once you start the car, doesn't the alternator take over? For the record, I feel like I'm possibly being taken advantage of since I am a woman. I bought that battery because the other service rep said how great they were. Had I known, I would have opted for a $100 battery as opposed to a $500 battery. Can you give me anything to go back to this service rep with?
