The word ALASKA at the top of the plate is more than just a little bit PlainJane. Why not use an enhanced cursive script like Illinois, and cut out all the clutter on the lefthand side of the plate. Yes, potenteate the official state colours of gold and blue, but enhance the design with additional colours, rather than destroy it! Again, an effusive and highly redundant slogan at the bottom of the plate.
