I only walk a mile at a time, then I come back inside to warm up and rest a little, before heading back out to walk another mile. Another reason I only walk a mile at a time is because I have very bad arches and flat feet which make walking painful. Even though I have feet that get very sore, I do not let this stop me from enjoying the benefits and enjoyment of walking in the winter.
To bad! Rest is important. Turn off the tv. Turn off the phone! Put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. Lay in bed and rest! It doesn't mean that's all you do. It doesn't negate the laundry you have done or the pristine condition of your kitchen. It doesn't undo the stack of paperwork you have finished. If you have time to rest, don't fidget around looking for something else to fill your time. REST!!!!
