But the things are just not that simple for permanent filters. Vacuum your filter with the help of a vacuum cleaner. If there are any stubborn dust particles than use a scrub or sponge for it. In case of permanent filter remove it and then use a water hose to clean off the dust. Remember to keep your mouth and nose covered with a mask to ward off any extra dust entering your throat. Most of the permanent filters have holes in them that make the drying process quicker. Meanwhile use brushes, scrub and sponge to clean rest of the furnace. In case if you have any particles stuck at places that are resistant to the ritual cleaning, use toothpicks to get rid of them. Don't ever put a damp filter inside. Put the cover back by screwing it up and enjoy clean atmosphere.
