| any training tips to help lose weight before joining the military . . . hi i really want to join the national guards but im over weight. i know that to qualify it depends on my body fat percentage but i weigh about 200 pounds and im 5 foot 6, i was wondering if anyone of you guys would give me some training tips to help lose weight . i dont want to give just because im over weight, im very serious about joining the national guards. so if anyone have some tips i would really appreciate it.. . . first start by trying to figure out exactly what youll be required to do. youll be tested on how many push-ups and sit-ups you can do, and youll also have a timed 2 mile run. so you know you can start training in those 3 specific areas. youll also need to lose about 32 pounds to even qualify for the national guard, so running, lifting weights, and eating healthier will help you to lose that weight. remember, once that weight comes off it has to stay off in order to be successful in the national guard. this is a life change, not just a quick weight loss program! i wish you luck!. . . do pushups every day everytimeif you can do10, 5 or start by 2, and do them every time you are not doing anything.repeat many times a day. this will prepare you a bit, do stuff like this in your industry leading time like jumping jacks and other stuff.. . . run!!!!! everyday!!!!!!! eat lots a fruit and veggies. (no junk food)!!!!! good luck. )
